Brand Bio
Emma Hill dreamt up Damson Madder in the spring of 2020 after feeling increasingly frustrated at some of the practices that were going on in the background when it came to fashion, an industry she had been working in for years previously. Run by a female-led team in North London, the brand began experimenting with recycled and organic fabrics and using natural dyes and quickly discovered two favourite shades, ‘Damnson’ (plum) and ‘Madder’ (flower). Fast-forward to today and the label continues to champion slow and ethical manufacturing processes with each collection made 12-18 months in advance with 15-35 pieces per drop. Not only do they only make the amount they think they will sell to ensure a reduction on waste, but pieces like the beanies are each made from three recycled plastic bottles.
